This Gospel Just Happens to be True ...

Well I apologize for the past couple weeks.  Things have been pretty busy but in a good way.

This past week we were able to go to Zone Conference in Guadeloupe.  We flew out the day before on our P-day and were able to play soccer and get to know and talk with the other missionaries.  It was a little weird seeing so many missionaries considering we're used to only seeing 6 on our small island.  It was really great especially to meet up with all the sisters that I’m training and get them all together!  They all are amazing missionaries and it was just great to see the growth of sisters on the French side!

The Conference was really great.  We learned a lot about planning and using our time wisely.  Because the time on our missions is so short it's so important to use that time wisely, but also, I think it's important to reflect on how short our time is here on Earth … and I'm sure that if everyone looks back and reflects what they did in the past week, you'll be able to see a lot of things that you probably could have done to use your time more effectively.

I found out that I'll probably be leaving St. Maarten next transfer.  So if anyone has any plans to write me any postal mail, please wait until I have the next address.  I don't know where I'll be sent next, so stay tuned for the next blog post ;)

We had a really great week.  We taught some members the week before about Family History and committed them to invite friends to the Family History Fireside.  A member brought her friend and we started teaching him and we already have a date set with him to be baptized at the end of the month!  He seems very prepared and we're really excited for him.  We also did some service for our road.  We weeded and chopped down a bunch of plants so that cars can pass through our street without getting cut up or scratched.  President Eclar, the 1st Counselor in the Mission Presidency came and visited us this weekend.  He was really inspiring and we were able to counsel together and he was just super motivating and great!

I feel that there will be a lot of great and exciting changes soon and I'm so glad and grateful to be able to witness such great faith, and see the miracles that happen because of our faith.  I love what President Mehr says "this gospel just happens to be true, it just is."

Much Love,
Sister Crompton
