Thank you all for all the Birthday e-mails! A special thanks to Mom and Dad for the package and to Gabbi for the birthday letter. Also thank you to the Phelps for the St. Patrick’s Day letter :)
Yes, it was weird turning 21 mostly because that means I've spent one full year on my mission. I still feel only 19! Well life goes on!
This week all the Sister training leaders (the 5 of us now!) talked with President and Sister Mehr on how to better help all these new young sisters! I loved a quote that Sister Mehr shared with us by Spencer W. Kimball that said, “Much of the major growth that is coming to the Church in the last days will come because many of the good women of the world (in whom there is often such an inner sense of spirituality) will be drawn to the Church in larger numbers … Thus it will be that female exemplars of the Church will be a significant force in both the numerical and the spiritual growth of the Church in the last days.” How true is that!?
Even though it's a little difficult down here in the Caribbean because families are so spread apart, I've been trying to teach more about family history. I’ve been showing our investigators and members the FamilySearch.org website to help them feel the Spirit that comes from learning about our part in family history and having them experience it for themselves; it is also a less threatening way to introduce the church to potential investigators.
I hope that everyone has a good week!
Much Love, Sister Crompton
Elder Telga (a French Elder from Martinique) made us crepes on my birthday!
