The Work Is Pressing Forward

The work of salvation is pressing forward and we've definitely seen the success of member work.

Our recent convert has been inviting a friend to her Family Home Evenings and that friend finally came to church on Sunday to follow what Christ said and "come and see" what we're all about.

We were blessed enough to have one of our members take us around to everyone he knows in the neighborhood and introduce us to some friends.  So we're planting a lot of seeds right now.

We ended the transfer this past week and I officially hit my 6 month mark.  The most exciting part this week was when Elder Cornish, a General Authority, came to visit St. Vincent.  Of course we talked a lot about member missionary efforts because that's what works and he is definitely right when he says "those who serve, grow."

My experiences these past 6 months, and Elder Cornish's comments to us, has reassured me that the Lord is indeed hastening his work.  He said that a few months before last October's General Conference, President Eyring read D&C 88:73 to all the General Authorities.  It's truly amazing.
(Editor's Note:  Doctrine and Covenants, Chapter 88, verse 73: "Behold, I will hasten my work in its time.")

Time is short but things are going amazing, the work is hard but rewarding.

Much Love,

Sister Crompton
