insta-update :)

Saying bye to the burg was bittersweet

Louisa's wedding was wonderful, She is gorgeous and I was so happy to be apart of their wedding :)

Being back home the first night is always a little weird, it was even weirder knowing that I wasn't going back to school this time. I was stoked to see some old friends from high school, always fun :)
It didn't take long for us to be reunited (two days after being home..)

Christmas was good this year, my presents consisted of a mini preach my gospel, a laminated Plan of Salvation made by my awesome brother, and just random stuff for the mish.

not an instagram, but better :)
Some QT with beth

Then came the receptions
I drove down to Stafford for Cherie and Louisa's receptions. They were fun, I was just glad to be reunited with these tricks again.

Yesterday was a pretty incredible day. It was the day that I went inside the temple. It was unforgettable and I am so blessed to have amazing friends and family that were able to be there to support and comfort me. The temple is an amazing place and I can't wait to go back again

SO, that's what I've been up to :)

Final Portfolio

So for my final portfolio, I decided to do landscapes from when I went to Moab for Thanksgiving with the family.
Enjoy :)

Time Assignment

Our focus for this assignment was time. Either to stop time, different times of day, or showing a long period of time. I tried to do a little bit in each category

Finals are done and I'm putting school on pause for the next year and a half (hallelujah!)
Finals+packing+clean checks+trying to figure out storage for a year and a half+trying to fill out visas/FBI clearances= a REALLY stressful week
but it's all good, I'm in Utah now getting ready for one of my best friend's weddings and I'm super excited for her :)
here are some shots I took before leaving the burg for a while

Called to SERVE!

THIS is what I got in the mail on Thursday November 29th

THIS is what it read

Dear Sister Crompton:
You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the West Indies Mission. It is anticipated that you serve for a period of 18 months.
You should report to the Provo Missionary Training Center on Wednesday, January 16, 2013.

THIS is where I'm going

THIS is what it felt like to be there

THIS is how I feel

To say that I'm excited would be an understatement. I honestly had NO idea that I was going to be sent to serve as a missionary in the WEST INDIES!!!
It probably has to be the best mission, lets be REAL! ALL missions are awesome, but when I first opened the letter I saw the W and I thought it was going to be Wyoming (and there's NOTHING wrong with being sent there) but I almost freaked out...
I mean I guess I did freak out...but in a good way :)
I am SO excited that in a few short months I will be preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ
I know that this gospel is true and I can't wait to have the opportunity to introduce it and see the blessings it has on other people's lives. I know that this is going to be one of the hardest things I'll ever do but I also know that it will also be one of the most rewarding this I will ever do. I'm so grateful for the opportunity I have to serve at this time in my life and I hope that I will be blessed as I embark on this journey! :)

All I do is UPDATE: Thanksgiving

So, it's been a while since I've blogged BUT I have a reasonable excuse!
I don't have a computer at the moment, Gabbi is being a great roommate and letting me use hers :)
Right now my computer is undergoing some serious technology surgery :(
Over the summer, for some reason, my computer kept of freezing on me. I went to the apple store and luckily I was able to save all of my important stuff on flash drives because they had to completely erase everything on my hard drive.
The same thing happened to me this week.
The bad news is that I wasn't able to save ANYTHING :(
It is very sad, as you know I take a LOT of photos...they're all going to be gone (except for a small amount that are on my portable hard drive)
I'm really bummed about it and now it's going to take longer for my computer to get fixed because they have to order a new hard drive. This WOULD happen to me right before finals...
ANYWAY
I thought that I would make a simple update on what I've been up to
For Thanksgiving, my whole family decided to go down to Moab to see the arches.
I'll put up more pictures when I get my computer but this is what it looked like for the most part

 The whole fam :)
